Fair, Affordable, Educational

At UDJC, our mission is to make equestrian sports more accessible, fair, and enjoyable for everyone.

We are committed to:

Affordable Horse Shows
Keeping entry fees reasonable so that more riders can participate.

Education for All Levels
Providing a rich learning experience, whether you’re just starting out or competing at advanced levels.

Horse Welfare First
Promoting practices that ensure the health, safety, and happiness of every horse.

Inclusive Community
Building a welcoming environment where riders of all ages and backgrounds can grow and succeed.

Our Unique Show System

Every UDJC show features at least two of the three core disciplines - Dressage, Jumpers, and Hunters, so riders always experience a complete and dynamic competition.

DRESSAGE

HUNTERS

At UDJC, Dressage is judged on correct basics, rider influence, and a fair qualification path that rewards true progress in both Benchmark and Ability Classes.

UDJC Jumpers start with style classes that focus on rider seat, rhythm, and control before moving into speed rounds or Hunters.

UDJC Hunters blend horse and rider evaluation, rewarding smooth rhythm, effective position, and classic Hunter quality.

We encourage riders of all levels to explore different disciplines, Dressage, Jumping, and Hunters, to build a complete foundation in Horsemanship. At the end of the day, it’s all about "riding the horse correctly", and true progress comes from developing broad skills before specializing.

UDJC CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE

At the United Dressage and Jumping Club (UDJC), the welfare of the horse is our top priority.

Every rider, trainer, and official must ensure that the treatment of the horse reflects the respect, care, and ethical standards that are central to the sport. The following principles outline our commitment to the well-being of all horses involved in UDJC events:

Class Limit – Horses may compete in a maximum of three classes per day to protect their physical and mental well-being.
Zero Drug Policy – Horses must compete naturally; no drugs or sedation of any kind are permitted at UDJC shows.
Partners, Not Tools – Horses are treated as partners in sport, not as disposable equipment.
Qualification System – Riders must qualify step by step before moving up, ensuring horses are never overfaced or overused in classes beyond their ability.
